In light of the current AEU bans and the 38 hour working week the Four Workshops task now has an alternative way to be completed.
You can still choose to attend four workshops in one workshop week (and with the extension of the challenge you now have two opportunities to do this) OR you can attend three workshops in both term one workshop week AND term two workshop week.
This task should not be registered as completed until all workshops have been attended.
Our MPSC Challenge was on the agenda at the latest Melbourne Teachmeet on Saturday 2 February.
Here's one response:
TeachMeet Melbourne Highlights – 24 Hr Skype and Game-based PD!
If you've never heard of a Teachmeet you can find out more here. Teachmeets are lots of fun and informative at the same time; the informal chat can be just as valuable as the formal presentations (which are limited to 2 or 7 minutes only). You meet interesting people and get inspired to try new things. They are often held in unusual places, last Saturday was at a bar in Carlton - Teachmeets are planned for the Royal Children's Hospital, State Library and Scienceworks later this year
I hope everyone has had an exciting first week back!
Perhaps now you've got time to take a breath and have another look at your orange game card and start thinking about what you might try out for the challenge. Remember that only the eight tasks already named on your card are "compulsory" (and that's only if you want to complete full rows/columns or the whole challenge - but we really hope you will give them a go, there are prizes up for grabs after all!). You can make your own choice of up to eight of the optional tasks from the back of the sheet to fill in the blanks.
There's lots more information available here so if you have any questions about a task or any other aspect of the challenge check out The Tasks and The Rules. If you can't find the answer to your question go to the Help page and ask your question there.
You can also "Like" our Facebook page or follow the Twitter feed to have news and information sent directly to your device of choice!
Will you be in the first fortnightly prize draw next Friday?
